How To: Wear it More Than Once, Holiday Edition

So, you have your boss’ pre-holiday party to attend, Christmas Eve with the in-laws, Christmas Day with the kids, New Years Eve with the gang, and New Years brunch with the girls... And it seems you need an outfit for each. Or do you?

Think outside the (gift-wrapped) box this holiday season when it comes to your wardrobe. The stylists here at Lee & Birch have selected a few examples of our favorite party pairings that transition effortlessly into your daily wardrobe for maximum usability and style. It’s Santa’s job to wear his holiday garb only once a year, but why should it be yours?

Look one: The Holly Jolly

San Francisco designer Julienne Weston's dance background, along with her love of art and music, inspire her Weston line: a collection that runs the gamut from elevated tees to party-ready dresses. Made in the USA, Weston is versatile and effortless. A great example of this is the Weston Holly skirt. On the left: Twinkle on the dance floor with the Holly skirt, a structured vest by Nina, and bejeweled bangles. To the right: Cozy up by the fire while sipping hot chocolate with the addition of this cashmere Chase sweater by Line and a drop necklace by Nakamol, handmade in Chicago.

Look two: The Ball Drop

Veronica M is known for their unique prints, easy/comfy bodies and is touted as a So. Cal retail haven inspired by vintage apparel made entirely in the US. On the Left: Countdown to the New Year with an ensemble that’s sure to make jaws drop. This Veronica M jumpsuit is simple and chic, add some shimmer with a statement necklace and bangle stack by Bourbon and Boweties.
To the Right: Veronica M jumpsuit paired with this Fawn knit sweater by Left on Houston, Houston Street (pronounced HOW-sten) offers structured to delicate silhouettes, blending soft cashmeres, silks, linens, and cottons in a modern, sophisticated style. Accentuate that neckline with a long and shimmery drop necklace, for comfort and style all day.

Look three: Jingle Belles

Another great example of Weston versatility, the Gwen polka dot dress is party ready and effortless. Pair with statement jewelry and let the dress do all the talking. Or, on the right pair the Gwen with a John + Jenn sweater like this one, the Manon. John + Jenn is a Canadian clothing line whose main focus is luscious knits, to which the Manon is no exception. Add some black tights and Vegan leather handbag to help you get where you’re going in a fabulous flash.

Look four: The Secret Santa

The Lise top by Weston is a new arrival in store! The Lise has an understated elegance that is perfect for your holiday happenings. Lefty Lise is paired with a chiffon combo tank and black accordion skirt by RD Style. Classically chic, current, and refreshingly cool, RD Style has become the go-to line for go-anywhere clothes. Paired with a beautiful bangle stack & Quartz necklace from Bourbon and Boweties, All the bracelets are made with hand selected semiprecious stones, geodes, smoky quarts, Lava stones, shells, turquoise, jade, polished coral, Peruvian opal, agates and many more natural stones all wrapped with gold plated wire and are all individually handmade by “proud Southern hands.”

On the right just swap out the skirt for a fantastic pair of Ankle Leggings by AG Jeans,
synonymous with great quality, design, and state-of-the-art washes, the brand recently secured its foothold as a visionary in the premium denim category. These jeans have genuine vintage appeal, while maintaining a modern silhouette; a must-have this season.
