Vacation Basics

It can be tough to balance the ideal quantity of clothing without compromising style when packing. Luckily the stylists at L&B are here to help you create the perfect travel wardrobe. Whether you're off on an extended weekend getaway, a business trip, or an exotic vacation, L&Bs essential shortlist shows you what basic items to pack that won't sacrifice style, so you can make room for those important statement pieces. Check out the items below to learn how to maximize your travel outfits using minimal and comfortable pieces.

The Short List:

The Pull Over

Bella Dahl's Falling Stitch Print pull over has secured its place on this list mainly due to it's extreme comfort and endless wearability. Bella Dahl created and trademarked Tencera™ denim. Tencera™ fibers are typically very soft, absorbent, durable when dry or wet, and are wrinkle-resistant. So after a long day of travel, Bellah Dahl helps you arrive at your destination unwrinkled and relaxed.

The Basic Racerback
If warmer weather is what you seek, some simple layers are key. An effortless racerback tank from Bobi Los Angeles can be worn by itself, or as a foundational piece. This Racer back can be paired with a bathing suit & sarong while poolside, or with a sleek pencil skirt and statement necklace for an evening stroll.

The Pencil Skirt
Another Bobi standard, this high quality jersey (Cotton/spandex blend) pencil skirt is forgiving and light, and can upgrade nearly any top you pair it with. Bobi’s claim to fame is its precision, slimming fit. For added versatility, try strategically tucking your tops in different ways for more playful looks.

The Legging

Getting to your destination is sometimes the hardest part, and comfort usually trumps style. But with a pair of Lysee Leggings, you can have the best of both worlds. These leggings come in multiple neutral colors and are also available with special details like vegan tuxedo stripes. Their patent LysséFit hi-waist and soft stretch lining are perfect for the right amount of control and fit. Dress this legging up with wedge heels and a structured top for a 'night out,' or pair with a relaxed tank or tee & sandals for a casual upgrade.

Scent

Smell fresh in any occasion, whether you're in line at TSA or you just came back from zip lining through the jungle, Tokyo Milk has a variety of elegant perfumes and moisture-rich lotions in our store. This one, Tokyo Milk Marine Sel No. 54 is new and refreshing:
Unexpected essences are crushed & distilled then blended with extracts of Japanese Green Tea, Mimosa Bark & Dandelion and enveloped in moisture-rich Shea Butter to create this coveted treasure. Great for travel at 2.3oz a tube.

The Romper
Need to slip something over your bathing suit for lunch at the cabana? The Shorty Romper in Navy by Olive and Oak is sure to amaze. Instead of a bagging an extra top & bottom, Shorty is a 2-in-1 space-saver in your suitcase. You can also dress it up for a night on the town with wedges, bangles and a blazer for the chilly nights.

Bangles
When it comes to accessorizing during travel, you need a little to go a long way. These stackable stone & gem bangles from Bourbon & Boweties are the perfect mix-and-match piece to complete any outfit. All the bracelets are made with hand selected semiprecious stones and all wrapped with gold plated wire. Wear one of the bracelets by themselves for a simple accent to a patterned top, or layer them to create texture to a solid ensemble.

Gilded Tattoos
If you're worried about loosing some jewelry during your trip, have no fear; this season's hottest trend is gold and silver temporary tattoos. You can add dimension to existing bracelets by wearing the tattoos underneath, or use on their own. Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you have to commit to a memorable tattoo. Instead, these guilded darlings last about 3 days, and are the perfect accent to that bikini you've been staring at in your closet all winter.

Now that you've packed the interchangeable basics, you have the room to pack a few extra statement pieces you may not have been able to fit in your luggage before!  Be sure to stop in to see one of our personal stylists before your next trip.  They would love to help you with any part of your travel wardrobe: whether it be the basics, statement pieces, or accessorizing!
