G'day, Goorin

Goorin Brothers follows a timeless approach to the art of hat making and continues the tradition of authentic family craftsmanship who share the same passion for the cultural, artistic and hands on approach to this century old brand that began over 100 years ago. Here's a look at what makes a Goorin, a Goorin.

1. Beach Day

Artist and craftsman Cassel Goorin began a legend by creating custom-made hats sold off of his horse cart in the hard-stone streets of Pittsburgh in 1895.

2. Mrs. Davis

In 1921, Cassel taught his two sons, Alfred and Ted, the art and business of his trade. When Alfred and Ted took over Cassel's business it became the Goorin Brothers.

3. Macey

In 1949 Alfred moved the company's headquarters to First Street and Mission, San Francisco, California, blending east coast tradition with west coast lifestyle.

4. Mermaid Dream

In 2006 Cassel Goorin's great-grandson takes the lead of the company with an eye to the future and a strong foundation in his heritage. By bringing back Cassel's secret recipes and adding modern twists, Goorin Bros. hats once again stands out as a company representing authenticity and creativity.

5. Emile

Now Goorin Bros. is bringing back the neighborhood hat shop feel, opening their own stores in larger cities, and selecting local boutiques to partner with (like us!) to keep the love and quality service close to home. Come in and try a Goorin for yourself!
